Chetak Books was established in 2007 with the aim of publishing quality literature by new talented writers. Chetak Books has published more than 1800 books in almost all genres from children’s literature to reference literature so far. At present, at least 200 new books are being published annually.
Nearly all the literary genres written by new and famous writers such as science, children’s literature, fine literature, tribal literature, poetry, character, autobiography, references are published by Chetak Books.

Considering the needs and demands of reference material for readers and students living mostly outside the cities of Maharashtra, Chetak Books started publishing books on various industries, modern agricultural technology from 2015. Today, more than 100 books on these subjects have been published. Chetak Books is publishing excellent reference books on all the exams subjects for the students preparing for various competitive examinations, bank examinations conducted under MPSC, UPSC. More than 135 books with excellent references for competitive examinations are available and new references are on the way to publication.

Apart from Marathi language books, Chetak Books has also started publishing Hindi and English language books.

Key People

Mr. Madan Hajeri
Originally a teacher and a writer, Madan Hajeri started his publishing business in 1981. Published quality children’s literature written by himself and many other new writers. Out of the various books written by him, three books have received the State Award of the Government of Maharashtra.

Mr. Kunal Madan Hajeri
Kunal Madan Hajeri started his publishing business in 2004. Published books on childrens literature and other literary genres. Produced reference material keeping in mind the interest of the readers; introduced several book publishing schemes for new authors and new topics. Expanded Chetak Books under the guidance of Madan Hajeri. In addition to traditional publishing methods, e-books and audiobooks were also added. Work is also underway to distribute books around the world using technology.

Gunjan Kunal Hajeri
Creating attractive books for children’s literature and layout for other books;overall, Chetak Books has developed a “house style” and used it effectively with the aid of Mrs.Gunjan Kunal Hajeri who is a graduate in Fine Arts. The use of social media to reach out to readers, the changing trends in book publishing are working to set the direction for the next journey of Chetak Books.
